Tech showed up but the service was never on the schedule. I asked them to schedule a day to come later in the year.
Jacob checked everything out in a well mannered way, was very informative about what I might need, willing to explain things I didn't understand and helpful in showing me when I had a question.
Fast friendly service. Very knowledgeable and explained everything.
Robert was a great tech! He answered our questions clearly and provided exceptional service! He deserves to be recognized for his great work!
This is the first time I have called LBA. They were very professional and called me 30 minutes before the technician was headed to my house. The technician was very courteous and professional, I am happy with their service!
Our old furnace and air (28 years old) was removed and replaced in one day. Neat and well done job LBA! One less thing to worry about🙂
Response from LBA Air Conditioning, Heating & Plumbing:
Thank you so much for your 5-star review!
Company will come out and run Jetter through mainline. Ensuring line is open in flowing, and we have blown the inner circumference of the pipe clean.
Arrived at property and was greeted by homeowner, he explained to me that he has had a mainline back up three times in the past couple months. And wanted to test out and see if we were as good as the commercials stated. Upon camera inspection, I was only able to get my camera about 25 feet before I hit a spot and I was unable to get past. I provided options for Jetter as well as spot repair. Customer decided to move forward with cheddar. We will be out here on Wednesday morning.
Installed 90%, furnace, coil, AC pad, whip disconnect, electrical metal gas flue drains humidifier UV light to 8 inch runs ran back to the drop for return
Returning to install 2 stage full system next week on Friday.
Upon arrival we began the heating tune up on the furnace. I found the Delta T at 33 degree with the heat pump on. I found a crack in the heat exchanger and had to red tag the furnace and shut off the gas. The blower needs to be cleaned. The capacitor on the blower needs replaced. The AC unit is low on refrigerant approximately 2 lbs. and the AC needs a new contactor because the one it has on it is black and pitted. I explained everything to the homeowners and they signed up for the Perfect Service Family Membership and would like a field supervisor to come out tomorrow morning at 8am 4/12/2024. They paid via card for the membership. Supervisor is scheduled for tomorrow morning.
Completed full a/c maintenance. Unit 1 and 2 had very dirty outside coils. Removed fans and washed from the inside out. Everything is working as it should be at this time.
Arrived to do a dual system performance maintenance. Started inspection inside and measured a temperature split between return and supply air. Measured power consumption of the blower motors and checked systems for cleanliness. Found that the blower wheels are coated in dust debris. Performed a static pressure test and found that the systems are operating well outside the rated maximum static pressure. Reached out to a supervisor to provide a diagnosis on the systems high static pressure. Performed a camera inspection of the systems. Found bacterial growth on the evaporator pan. Performed a gas leak search. Moved inspection outside and verified each systems refrigerant charge. Verified operation of all mechanical and electronic components of the condensers. Rinsed coils free of debris and pulled the grime from inside the condensers. Furnaces and air conditioners are functioning at this time.
Water Heater Repair: Responding to a homeowner's call regarding a malfunctioning water heater, I diagnosed a faulty heating element and promptly replaced it, restoring hot water supply and ensuring uninterrupted comfort.
Called customer no answer. I will text them as well. They never texted me back yesterday.
Went over failed airflow with customer. I showed him the wear and tear on the system and explained why he was having to fix things, I brought customer down by the system and we went over the system and why the static was passed fail. Customer had to bounce into a meeting that I didn’t know about before so I didn’t get to finish talking with customer about everything. I will send customer a message and see about a follow up date and time.
The work preformed routine maintenance on 2 separate systems. On both systems we came across very high static pressure which put a lot of wear and tear in the system as a whole. Other than that everything on both systems was operating well within factory specs. However, kill switches for each unit located on the back wall, unreachable. I would highly recommend relocating for each unit. After checking outdoor unit it is clear there’s a leak in both systems, added 1 lbs of refrigerant to each unit and replaced capacitor on failed unit. Highly recommend replacing capacitor on the second unit, and finding the source of the leak on both units to determine what steps to take next. The reason the system, both inside and outside are having issues is most definitely due to the high static pressure. Both systems are under. Because of this, this is the primary concern at this time as supervisor has been called out to diagnose the problem and come up with solutions.
Talked with Steve. He would like to run everything by his wife this afternoon. Steve inquired about the duct cleaning, blower wheel cleaning and evaporator (A coil) coil cleaning. I recommended a safety inspection on the system since it’s 14yrs old so we could check the heat exchanger and dirtiness of the coil before spending money on a coil cleaning that might not be needed. Steve would like to reach back out to me this afternoon.
